いつの間にかruby-talk MLのarchiveを作るとこで失敗するようになってた。

そうか。/home/ftpは/var/ftpへ移動してたか。 http://ftp.ruby-lang.org/もそれが原因でアクセスできなかった。もろもろ修正。

■ [Mail] IMAP

cmail MLでIMAPを使えばメモリに優しいんじゃないかという提案があった。なるほど。Maildirか。MHフォルダでもいいわけだ。うーむ。なんで今まで気づかなかったんだろう。

というわけで、どのIMAPを使うかを調査しよう。

■ [Soft] Dnsmasq 2.4

2.3を入れようと思ったらすでに2.4になっていた。

Changes:
This release fixes a stupid bug where the DHCP server failed to
start up if its leases file did not already exist.  It also fixes
some problems with the new code for reading /etc/ethers and adds an
alias facility like "DNS doctor" on Cisco PIX routers.

■ [XSL] {}による展開

xsl:ifを使わなくてもitem0, item1のような文字列をclassで指定してあげれば十分だと気づいた(遅。

となる。css側でdiv.item0, div.item1を適当に設定してやればいいわけだ。 xsl:atributeやxsl:elementを使うとさすがにわかりにくい。

■ [Mail] UW-IMAP

SLLTYPE=nopwdのままだとシステムの認証は使えなくなるので、 /etc/cram-md5.pwdを適切に設定しCRAM-MD5を使うことになる。 SLLTYPE=unixにすればAUTHにLOGINも使えるが、当然ながら推奨されない。

インストールしたらtelnet localhost 143で実験。

のように返ってくる。これでCRAM-MD5とLOGINが使えることがわかった。

cmailではCVSの最新じゃないとCRAM-MD5は使えない。まあ、それはいいんだけど、困ったことになぜかふつうのフォルダにアクセスできない。というわけで、全然別なところで中断中。

■ [RSS] index.rdfの順番

RSS Reader Panelは勝手にソートしてくれないようだ。なんとなく他との違いが目立つので、 index.rdfは新しい順に並べるようにした。これで、 diary.xslのほうもソートする必要がなくなった。

2004-03-16 (Tue)

■ [Mail] ruby-{list,talk,core}-ctlへの攻撃、その後

なんだかわからないまま10日が過ぎてもまだ続いている。 shugoさんをircで見つけたついでに、postfixの設定でrejectするようにしてもらった。負荷は問題にならなくても、logが半端な量じゃないしなあ。

ircで話題になり、なんとなく上げてみる。1.12系列は初めてか。

例のzshがハングする件が直ったらしい。

- Fix hang typified by trying to execute an unknown command in zsh.
  This was caused by a signal race which could have caused other
  strange hangs or odd behavior.

Cygwin 1.5.8に上げた。zshも問題ないようだ。

4.2.0 is the first in  the new stable 4.2 release series, superseding
both  4.0  and  4.1  branches.  There are  many  evolutionary  changes
affecting  the  whole   shell:  builtins,  modules,  completion,  line
editing, as well as improved  compatibility with other shells and with
some operating systems.

早くも出た。Work aroundというあたりが気になる。とりあえず次までのつなぎ？
