勘違いしていた。うまくいったと思ったのは再起動のときだった。 なるほど。/etc/rc.d/rc6.d/K08vmwareか。
% sudo ln -s /etc/rc.d/init.d/vmware /etc/rc.d/rc0.d/K08vmware
としとこう。

意外と知らない人が多いようだ。
たとえば以下のような設定でブックマークに登録する。

これをruby-list, ruby-devと作ってもいいんだけど、 [ruby-talk:123456]というタグ形式が使えたほうがコピペしやすいということで、

を用意した。

てなことを検索プラグインでやろうと思ったんだけど、 プラグインを作るまでもなかった。
ちなみにFirefoxの場合、CTRL+Lでアドレスバーを選択できる。
そういえば Friejyuはwineで動くんだろうかと早速試す。 インストールも問題ないが、起動してみるとなぜか音が出ない。 よく見るとエラーメッセージが出てた。

なるほどと、"HardwareAcceleration" = "Emulation"を [dsound]セクションに追加というか既にコメントととして存在してたのでコメントを外した。 すばらしい。ちゃんと音も出た。
GNOMEばかりってのもなんだから、今日からKDEにしてみよう。 しかし、あまり見た目が変わらん。
[コントロールセンター]-[KDEコンポーネント]-[vimコンポーネントの設定]というのが気になった。 これってどうやって使うもんなんだろう？ 一応/usr/X11R6/bin/gvimでテストはしてみたもののやはりよくわからない。
これは面白いなあ。ちょっとはまりそう。
ckoと言ってもcygwin方面ではない。

デスクトップ環境を切り替えるコマンドはswitchdesk。

switchdesk-guiをインストールすればGUIで操作できる。
手でsymlink張ったりしてたけど、chkconfigを使うのが礼儀らしい。 今までは何でも直接いじっていたからなあ。
shutdown時にvmwareをstopさせたければ
% sudo chkconfig --level 0 vmware off
でいいわけだ。
GUIのsystem-config-servicesだとrunlevel 0とかが設定できない？
backslashの扱いにバグがあるようだ。 [ruby-core:04256]だけを見たら、 [ruby-core:04257]という反応になるよねえ、やっぱ。
さて問題はruby-talk MLに突然他から転送されてきた[suby-ruby]だ。 subyってなに？ぐぐると人の名前のようだし。
そのままsuby-rubyでぐぐると [ruby-talk:110164]が見つかった。 suggestionか。
なんだかんだでdarcsを使い始める。 結論としてはghcはインストールするのが大変だ。cvsupのmodula-3を思い出す。 で、 スタティックにリンクされたバイナリ を最初から使う。rpmもあるらしいけど、ghcがでかいしねえ。 で、あちこちでdarcs initしてaddしてるんで、_darcs/だらけになった。
この日記もrsyncじゃなくてdarcsで管理すれば、 --deleteでうっかり消したりしなくなるかななんて思ったり。
そういえばあまり聞かない。 でも [ruby-talk:126847]のようにそんな機能はないと言われれば、 なにをーと思うわけで、またしても:を使った方法を思いついた。 それが [ruby-talk:126854]で、

yumでupdateできない。 wireless-toolsなんて要らないからremoveするかと思えば、 NetworkManagerとかなんか重要そうなパッケージも消すぞと脅すし。 どうしろと。
そういえばいつのまにかRed Hat Network通知アイコンが起動失敗するようになってしまった。 あちこち壊れてきてる？

問題になるのはshebangの行でCR("\r")も込みでコマンド名とOSに認識されてしまう。 Rubyの場合は--\rの\rは無視するので
#! /usr/local/bin/ruby --
としとけばいける。確か1.6ぐらいから使える。実はPerlでも同じ。 というかPerlのほうが先に実装されたわけだけど。

A bug that could cut off the last lines of long output from programs that process faster than cw was fixed. Passing of the exit value was added. The "ifos", "ifnos", ifos-else" and "ifarg-else" definition instructions were added for more specific coloring situatons. The "nobackground" definition instruction was added to disable stopping the program (with ^Z). Support for stopping the program while running (with ^Z) was added. Support for Solaris and Cygwin was added. The deprecated "OS=" argument used in conjunction with "ifarg" was removed. The pre-made groups, arp, mount, ping, lsof, ps, and df definition files were added or revised.
